Andrew
Managing Director
Andrew grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada and brings his laid back “East Coast” humour to most every project he tackles. He is the latest in over 5 generations of family involvement in management in the marine industry. A successful sailboat racer, Andrew has spent most of his life around the ocean. He’s successfully raced all sorts of sailboats from high performance dinghies to long range ocean racing winning a transatlantic sailboat race on a 30 foot sailboat!
As a busy entrepreneur, Andrew has been involved with numerous businesses and projects in the marine tourism sector and has been awarded numerous recognitions and distinctions for his efforts and contributions including: Canada 150 Senate of Canada Medal, The Erebus Medal, and The RCGS Lawrence Burpee Gold Medal. Andrew is also a Fellow of The Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
Having been organizing and operating tourism and marine projects in the polar regions for over 30 years, Andrew has sponsored and supported numerous scientific and lost ship discoveries.

Director of Operations
João is the Director of Operations at Expedition Experience, with nearly a decade and a half of experience in expedition cruising across both shipboard and shore-based roles. He has held senior positions in operations, recruitment, and expedition delivery with a number of leading expedition operators, alongside extensive leadership experience onboard in both polar and non-polar regions.With a background that bridges strategic planning and frontline execution, João brings deep operational expertise to expedition travel—ranging from product development and itinerary design to team building, training, and the delivery of complex operations in remote and environmentally sensitive regions. His experience spans the full lifecycle of expedition operations, from concept to execution, in some of the most challenging environments on Earth.Fluent in five languages and deeply committed to wilderness stewardship, he combines a strong focus on safety, responsibility, and guest experience with a practical, solutions-driven approach to expedition leadership.

Andrés
Operations Coordinator
With over 15 years in the polar industry and more than 130 Antarctic expeditions, Andrés has progressed from bartender to Expedition Leader across every operational layer of expedition vessels, including the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov, with operations across Antarctica, the Sub-Antarctic Islands, Canadian Arctic, Svalbard, and northeastern Russia. That path has shaped a professional with a comprehensive understanding of how complex polar operations are built, run, and continuously improved.As Operations Coordinator, Andrés oversees the full spectrum of expedition delivery — from team training and staff development to logistics coordination, safety frameworks, and on-the-ground field execution. A certified WFR Instructor and First Aid Instructor with formal remote medical training, he brings the same high standards to crew preparedness as to operational planning, always under the benchmarks set by the industry’s most demanding products. He believes that great expeditions are built on well-led teams, clear systems, and a safety culture that every member owns.

Pablo
Field Operations and
Lead Expedition Leader
Born in North Patagonia, Argentina, Pablo has completed over 250 trips with specialist cruise operators all over the Antarctic Peninsula, Ross Sea, and Southern Ocean, Nunavut (Canadian Arctic), Greenland and Svalbard, working in a wide range of roles, from logistics and kayak operations to polar bear guard, zodiac driver, camp master, lecturer and expedition leader. As drone pilot, he has assisted several scientific and film crews with their polar projects. Pablo has a sweet tooth for adventure and adrenaline, so skiing and snowboarding, surfing and Kiteboarding, paragliding and trekking are some of his favorite ways to spend time while not on expedition.

Carla
Special Projects
Carla has nearly three decades of experience in the travel industry, with a strong focus on delivering projects across operations, sales, and business development—particularly in the expedition cruise sector. Her passion for travel began in childhood in Mozambique and led her to Australia, where she started her career in travel management. Over the past 20 years, she has led initiatives that enhance guest experience, optimize operations, and drive commercial growth. Fluent in English and Portuguese, with the latter also offering some understanding of French, Spanish and Italian. Carla brings a global perspective, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in every project she undertakes.

Luisa
Sales & Customer Service Associate
Luisa was born in Lisbon and has always had a deep passion for travel. Coming from a country of navigators who explored the world, she followed in the footsteps of her Portuguese ancestors. A journey leading her to the cruise industry, where she built a strong foundation in customer service, hospitality, and guest experience, while also having the opportunity to travel extensively and visit 65 countries across all seven continents.On shore, she has embraced a variety of challenges within the travel and tourism industry, particularly in sales and business development across Europe. Fluent in five languages, she considers herself a curious and dynamic individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to excellence.​​​​​​

Hector
Digital & Content Manager
Hector, born in Panama, is a natural to a multicultural, melting-pot environment. Adapted to the heat of Panama City and the highlands of Panama and its coffee, he loves traveling the world and across continents.
His expertise is sharing the word on the incredible feats of expedition cruising and reaching out to those interested in the subject of exotic, small-ship travel.
Over the past 20 years, he’s helped companies digitally advertise their products, which opened a world of travel for him. Nowadays, he helps Expedition Experience educate our passengers on the natural blessings the world has to offer and experiment.
